Chelsea Dimas Kicks Off Campaign for State Representative in Washington’s 14th District with Community Fundraiser
Community fundraiser in Grandview highlights grassroots support for her platform “¡Pa’ La Gente! For the People!”
SUNNYSIDE, WA — Chelsea Dimas officially launched her campaign for State Representative in Washington’s 14th Legislative District on September 17 with a lively fundraiser at The Sunflower Event Center in Grandview. Surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, Dimas highlighted her priorities of affordable housing, workers’ rights, education, healthcare, and stronger communities — rallying under her campaign banner, “¡Pa’ La Gente! For the People!”
The event drew strong regional support. Senator Rebecca Saldaña delivered the keynote address, praising Dimas’ leadership and commitment to working families. Sunnyside city council candidates — including Vicky Frausto, Adolph Müller, Leticia Zesati, and Ramon Chavez also stood in solidarity, underscoring the growing coalition around Dimas’ campaign.
Dimas is expected to challenge former Grandview Mayor Gloria Mendoza, who captured the seat in a competitive 2024 race. The matchup sets the stage for a high-profile contest in Central Washington, with both candidates representing historic milestones in the district.
“Chelsea has always been a strong advocate for our community,” said one supporter at the event. “Her vision is clear — a government that works for everyone, not just the few.”
With her campaign kickoff, Dimas signaled she is ready to harness grassroots energy and carry the voices of Central Washington to Olympia.
