SUNNYSIDE, WA – The Sunnyside City Council held its regular meeting on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Law & Justice Center. The meeting was also livestreamed via Zoom with Spanish subtitles available.

📝 Routine Business

• Payroll & Claims Approved: Council approved payroll vouchers totaling $627,609.33 for the period ending August 30, and claim vouchers totaling $732,312.98 for the period ending September 3.
• Consent Agenda: Routine financial reports, including the August 2025 balance, were accepted without objection.

👥 New Staff and Proclamations

• New IT Staff Introduced: Leo Ramirez and Michael Sak were formally welcomed to the City’s IT Department.
• National IT Professionals Day: Council adopted a resolution proclaiming September 16, 2025 as National IT Professionals Day in Sunnyside, recognizing the contributions of technology staff.
